UNLV College of Fine Arts to Host Panel with Warner Bros. Discovery TODAY

College of Fine Arts and UNLV Film are pleased to host an in-depth panel conversation to discuss the plan for Warner Bros. Studio Nevada — a landmark opportunity to establish Las Vegas as home to WBD's third film and television studio — at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Flora Dungan Humanities (FDH) 109. The event is free and open to the public.

“The partnership between the exceptional Department of Film at UNLV and the world-renown Warner Bros. Discovery company is full of promise and rich opportunity for the bright future ahead of us," said CFA Dean Nancy Uscher. "This exciting collaboration between WBD and the higher education institutions in our region will transform our community in the most positive and powerful ways — illuminating film and arts education, diversifying our economy, and transforming the creative industries in Nevada, with national and global impact.”

Heather Addison, chair of UNLV Film, moderates the panel, which features Warner Bros. executives Dan Dark, executive vice president of Worldwide Studios, and Kate Beyda, executive vice president of physical production.

"This exciting partnership between the College of Fine Arts and Warner Bros. Discovery marks a significant milestone," said CFA associate dean Warren Cobb. "Together, we’re set to transform our students’ futures and further enhance Las Vegas’s reputation as a dynamic hub for arts and entertainment."

The College of Fine Arts educates, empowers, and engages creative people to become visionary change-makers in the arts through acts of imagination. The arts are an essential good for society, and UNLV makes education relevant and accessible through its programs and outreach. It creates new knowledge in the arts and celebrates independent thought and the power of bringing people together to foster creativity.

All are welcome to attend the event to hear the potential for limitless opportunities with the UNLV College of Fine Arts, receive swag, ask questions, and engage with stakeholders.
