“Year three of RUMBAZO was our best event yet, especially with the addition of our new partner, Billboard,” said a RUMBAZO Festival Organizer. “Not only did we see buzz across Las Vegas, but we also saw people mark their calendars in Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, and even Guadalajara. Over the past few years, Las Vegas has become the place to be for El Grito Weekend, and RUMBAZO has emerged as a true Mexican Independence Day tradition.” —RUMBAZO Festival Organizer.

The third annual RUMBAZO Latin Music Festival billed as El Reventón del Año (The Blowout of the Year), took center stage at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on Friday, September 13, and Saturday, September 14, in celebration of Mexican Independence Day. Since its debut in 2022, RUMBAZO has established itself as a must-attend event. This year’s festival drew record-breaking attendance, bringing thousands of music lovers and cultural enthusiasts together for an unforgettable two-day experience.

Friday’s Lineup: High Energy Experiences

The festival kicked off on Friday, September 13, with doors opening at 5 p.m. as the crowd gathered to celebrate in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. Headliner Nicky Jam ignited the night with his signature reggaetón sound, energizing the crowd with a performance that lived up to his Grammy-winning reputation. The lineup was filled with thrilling performances from artists like Arcángel, a pioneer of Latin urban music, and De La Ghetto, who brought a blend of reggaetón, hip-hop, and trap to the stage. Hora Loca ft., DJ Exile, and other artists, including Gabi Got It, Venesti, DARAMUS, Dirty Dave, and 5. Slow kept the party alive, adding their unique electrifying beats into a high-octane atmosphere.

Saturday’s Lineup: An Epic Grand Finale

Saturday, September 14, continued the excitement with another star-studded lineup. Mexican sensation Luis R Conriquez headlined the night, captivating the audience with regional Mexican hits like "Si No Quieres No" and "Los Botones Azules." Other performers such as Codiciado, Yo Quiero Silla, Octavio Cuadras, and Lupita Infante delivered memorable sets, each bringing a different style of Latin music to the stage, from regional Mexican to urban beats. Returning artists like Vortxz, Danco, Miguel y Sus Kompaz, and 5. Slowly kept the festival audiences going, each with its high-energy sounds. As the festival came to a close, attendees were left exhilarated, having shared in a collective celebration of music, fun and culture.

A Unique Cultural Experience

RUMBAZO wasn’t just about music—it was a full immersion into Latinx arts culture. The festival grounds were filled with vibrant installations and Instagram-worthy spots where festival-goers could capture memories with friends and family. One of the festival’s standout attractions was Barrio Jalisco, where attendees participated in El Grito, the traditional Mexican shout of independence, adding cultural pride to the celebration.

The RUMBAZO Cantina, sponsored by Cantaritos by Jarritos, Don Julio, and Buchanan’s, became a popular hub for those looking to enjoy refreshing drinks amidst the festivities. Other unique experiences included the Bud Light Fight Night, which drew in crowds for exciting live matches, and Vegas Braiders, who offered intricate hair braiding that added to the event's festive spirit.

The food at RUMBAZO was just as exciting as the music, with local vendors serving up a delicious array of traditional Latin dishes. Attendees indulged in tacos from Vito's Taco, tamales from Tamales La Reina, and mouthwatering bites from Ole Manny's. Sweet treats like churros from Churros 101 and savory empanadas from the Empanada Factory ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Mercado Rumbazo, the festival’s marketplace, featured local vendors offering handcrafted artistic-styled jewelry, custom hats, and unique keepsakes. Vendors such as Airbrush Las Vegas, Cinoloco Permanent Jewelry, Alan’s Lids, and Archaic Eyewear provided festival-goers with one-of-a-kind pieces to commemorate their experience.

RUMBAZO once again proved why it’s one of the year's most anticipated Latinx music festivals. With a diverse and enthusiastic crowd, high-energy performances, and a rich offering of food, art, and cultural experiences. Tiempo, the classic car club of Las Vegas, Nev., exhibited an amazing curated collection of vintage low-rider cars that added to the festival’s Latinx experience. As the final beats vibrated through the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center and the evening ended, audiences left with an electrifying experience to remember.
