INCLUDING INDEPENDENT WORKS BY, DONIESHA CUNNINGHAM, KAYLEE HANNIG, AND ARIADNA RAMIREZ Nexus - A connection or series of connections linking two or more things. The CSN student choreographers create raw and organic choreography to connect with each other and the audience through their passion for dance. This concert will present new works that take inspiration from the choreographers’ life experiences, and express their emotional connection to dance. With unique music, movement, and concepts, Nexus presents choreography that will connect to the audience.
● Metamorphosis created by Doneisha Cunningham, is about the hardships she’s dealt with in life. She had a hard time trusting her process to become something beautiful. Doniesha hopes to inspire the audience to trust the process and the end result, because even after the rain there’s a rainbow. ● Crossing Paths created by Kaylee Hannig, explores the relationship of interaction and energy between the dancers. When creating the movement Kaylee was inspired by connections between individuals, and how others can positively affect one’s life. ● Obstāculum created by Ariadna Ramirez, was inspired by the barriers in life that people overcome in order to find their true selves and happiness. Ariadna hopes to inspire the audience to overcome any barriers they have and for them to be the best versions of themselves.
