Admission is $5. The ballet program was added to the Winchester Star Catchers Dance program in 2011. Directed by Gabrielle Angle, the ballet program provides classes for ages 3 to 5, 6 to 10 (beginning), 7 to 10 (intermediate) and 11 to 17 (beginning through advanced). Angle earned her bachelor's degree in dance pedagogy, with an emphasis in private studio teaching, from Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. and performed with the Loudoun Ballet Company in Leesburg, Va. Angle has been teaching all skill levels of ballet, as well as other genres of dance, for the last 15 years. The top-level ballet dancers performed at Disney's California Adventure along with members of the hip hop and contemporary performing teams in late 2015. The Star Catchers Dance Program began in 2002 when a handful of dancers in Tiffannie Bond's hip-hop dance class decided they wanted to perform. Since then, the group has grown to include five additional instructors and more than 90 students, ages 3 to 21, in five hip hop, five ballet, two contemporary classes and a jazz class. Star Catchers is made up of dancers who must agree to work hard, be disciplined and maintain a positive lifestyle free from violence, drugs and alcohol. Many are involved at school and in leadership and community service programs in addition to dance. Dancers have performed at Disneyland in 2007, 2011 and 2015 as well as around the Las Vegas Valley including Santa's arrival at the Galleria at Sunset, Helldorado Parade, the Clark County Children's Festival and others. This year Star Catchers will celebrate its 15th anniversary.
