Opera Las Vegas presents Bizet’s torrid and tempestuous Carmen. Metropolitan Opera stars, who will once again headline the cast, will be joined by talented local artists to create an exciting performance. The production stars Maya Lahyani, Viktor Antipenko, Suzanne Vinnik, and Trevor Scheunemann. Maestro Greg Buchalter of the Metropolitan Opera will return as artistic director and conductor. The production will be directed by Dr. Henry Price, assisted by Martha Price, the team behind OLV's 2014 production of "Barber of Seville." Performances are Friday, June 10, 2016, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, June 12, 2016, at 2 PM. This fully staged production with live orchestra will be presented at the Judy Bayley Theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Carmen will be performed in French.
